How to Check Your Map Type / Version:
- Press NAV on iDrive → Options → Navigation System Version.
- You should see a string like: Road Map Europe JOY 2020-2 (JOY = ID8 map type).
Required to dispatch: After purchase, please email a clear photo of your map version screen and your VIN.
Installation:
- Insert the USB and follow on-screen prompts (FSC code required).
- Keep the engine running or drive during the update (typically 60–120 minutes).
