CarlinKit 5.0 (2air) — Wireless Car Adapter for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

Converts wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to wireless. Smooth handoff of phone functions to the car screen; supports voice control (Siri / Google Assistant), steering-wheel buttons, touch and rotary knob control.

⚠️ This adapter does not add CarPlay/Android Auto to cars that don’t already have it. It only makes an existing wired CarPlay/Android Auto connection wireless.

What’s New in Version 5.0:

  • Android Auto runs on the native Android Auto protocol (not via CarPlay like v4.0).
  • CarlinKit 2air supports CarPlay and Android Auto natively for faster pairing and smoother navigation.
  • Dual-band 5.0–5.8 GHz auth & data; faster throughput with low latency.
  • OTA updates, online feedback and quick troubleshooting.

Features & Benefits

  • Plug & Play — no extra apps or power required.
  • Auto-connect — after first pairing, reconnects automatically on every drive.
  • Voice control — Siri & Google Assistant supported.
  • OEM integration — uses the car’s original mic, audio path and controls.
  • Low power design for stable operation in varied environments.
  • Compact size — easy to hide; clean install.

Compatibility

  • Vehicles: Car must have factory wired Apple CarPlay or wired Android Auto.
  • iPhone: iOS 10 or later (iPhone 6 and newer).
  • Android: Android 11 or later. Enable “Wireless Android Auto” in the Android Auto app settings.

Broad vehicle support (factory CarPlay/Android Auto required): Abarth, Acura, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley, Borgward, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Genesis, GMC, Harley-Davidson, Holden, Honda (incl. bikes), Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG Hector, Nissan, Opel/Vauxhall, Peugeot, Porsche, RAM, Renault, SEAT, Škoda, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen (and more).

Quick Start (Initial Pairing)

  1. Plug the adapter into the car’s USB or USB-C port.
  2. On the car screen, note the Bluetooth name shown by the adapter.
  3. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and connect to the adapter.
  4. Agree to sync prompts; wait for CarPlay/Android Auto to appear.
  5. Next drives: connection is automatic — just start the car.

Android Auto: phone must be on Android 11+ with Wireless AA enabled. On first connection in some vehicles, choose the CarPlay-like prompt (how some HUs identify the device).

Not Compatible / Important Notes

  • Does not add CarPlay/Android Auto to vehicles that lack these systems.
  • Works only where the factory system supports wired CarPlay/Android Auto.
